Key Events & Initiatives: May 2026
Community Living Month is a time to celebrate inclusion, amplify voices, and recognize the strength of our community. Across CLNH, this month is filled with opportunities to come together through events, gatherings, and shared experiences that highlight the importance of belonging for people with developmental disabilities. As we celebrate Community Living Month, we encourage everyone, staff, families, and community members to participate in events, engage with self-advocates, and reflect on how we can continue to build a more inclusive community. Together, we can create spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to belong.
JOIN US!
- Blue and Green Day (May 1): Supporters are encouraged to wear blue and green to show solidarity with the movement
- “Shine a Light” Illumination (May 1): Major landmarks, including the CN Tower in Toronto will be lit up green & blue
- Flag Raising Ceremony & Proclamation: Town of Milton, Tuesday May 12th, 2026 @ 10AM
- Coffee & Pastries at The Lunchbox Cafe & Catering: Tuesday May 12th, 2026 @ 11AM
- Milton Farmers Market Resource Booth: May 23rd, 2026 – visit the CLNH resource booth and learn more about our programs and community supports!
