Discover your next favorite thing. A group for youth (ages 10–14) with autism to explore new activities, build friendships, and strengthen social skills in a supportive, high-energy environment.

Every day is a new adventure! We combine structured skill-building with "choose-your-own-adventure" style fun.

  • Active Play: Sports, indoor/outdoor games, and friendly competition.
  • Creative & STEM: From photography and gardening to LEGO and STEM projects.
  • Community Outings: Visits to local conservation areas or the bowling alley.

Your Input: You help decide the activities! Plus, enjoy chill-out time with puzzles, drawing, and reading.

While we’re having fun, we’re also working together to:

  • Build Friendships: Learn how to connect with peers who share your interests.
  • Navigate the Game: Practice teamwork, cooperation, and healthy competitiveness.

Personal Growth: We work on your individual goals to increase social confidence and adaptability.

Looking for a different kind of social scene?

Join a 5-halfday group designed for teens (ages 13–17) on the spectrum to connect, develop new skills, and engage in fun activities and outings.

What We’re Doing

This isn't a classroom, it's a collaborative experience. Each day, we’ll dive into a mix of group activities and local outings designed to sharpen your social game while having a blast.

  • Real Connections: Engage in group-led leisure activities and team challenges.
  • Skill Building: Practical focus on perspective-taking, navigating conflict, and social confidence.
  • The Individual Edge: Personalized goals to help you grow in resilience, adaptability, and mental wellness.

Your Choice: We wrap up the week with a finale you choose—whether it’s a pizza party or a group trip to a local favorite.

A Virtual Vocational Skills Group for Teens (Ages 14-17)

 Level Up Your Future

Thinking about your first job can feel like a lot. Whether you're totally lost or just need a plan, this 5-day virtual camp is your "behind-the-scenes" guide to getting work-ready without the stress. We break everything down into easy steps so you can head into your first (or second) job feeling like a pro.

We’re going to cover:

  • Find Your Fit: Discover what kind of work actually matches your vibe and strengths.
  • The Resume Hack: Build a resume that gets noticed (even if you’ve never had a job before).
  • Interview Mode: Practice the "cheat codes" for common interview questions.
  • Speak Up for Yourself: Learn how to ask for what you need to do your best work.

Local Hookups: Find out which community resources are ready to help you land a spot

  • Where: Virtual (Join from your favourite spot at home)
  • Cost: $500.00

This program supervised by a Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A. Ont.).

  • OAP Approved: Eligible for coverage through OAP Core Clinical Services funding.
  • Insurance: May be covered by private insurance plans (please check with your provider).

Workshops

Monday June 8th, 2026 at 12pm

Learn practical ABA strategies in short, focused sessions. Perfect for parents and caregivers seeking practical learning strategies that you can apply in your day-to-day settings. Topic: Preparing for School breaks, caregivers will learn about practical strategies and tips for creating and maintaining routine, identify goals for skill development, and find supportive resources. For more personalized support, all workshop attendees can follow up by signing up for a free coaching session.

Monday June 22nd, 2026 10:00am

Do you find that your teen has difficulty managing information, making decisions, setting goals and planning ahead? This could be a sign that they may have trouble with Executive Functioning. These are skills we use in everyday life and we all have the potential to develop them further. But, how do we do that? In this workshop, we explore the 10 areas of Executive Functioning that may be affecting your adolescent or teen’s day-to-day-functioning, identify which areas they need help with and provide you, the parent with some strategies to address these areas of Executive Functioning.

Wednesday June 10th, 2026 at 12pm

This workshop will provide an overview on how to implement the first and then contingencies to support our students. First and then contingencies are evidence based strategies, used as an ABA tools that helps with everyday transitions. It also helps increase motivation and cooperation along with transitions and completing everyday activities.

This workshop will explore ways in which we can support the siblings in having healthy relationships with their family.

Friday June 19th, 2026 at 4 pm.

Empower your pre-teen or teenager with practical ABA strategies and engaging activities! This workshop tackles key social skills like self-awareness, conversation, perspective-taking, and friendship building through hands-on practice. Learn actionable techniques you can use today to help them navigate social situations with confidence. For more personalized support, all workshop attendees can follow up by signing up for a free coaching session.

Friday May 22nd, 2026 at 4 pm

Monday, June 22nd, 2026 at 10 am

This workshop will discuss co-regulation and self-regulation skills, strategies to assist with or improve these skills, and how to implement these strategies in your child’s life. Having self-regulation skills allows us to notice when we are emotionally charged, consider consequences of our actions, and engage in activities that move us closer to our goals.

AccessOAP Resource Day

Event

ACCESS OAP staff available at Community Living North Halton for resources including questions, submitting reciepts, help with the portal, registrations and Core Clinical Services Invoice Submissions.

Core Clinical – Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA): Fee for Service (Ages 9-18)

Community Living North Halton provides evidence-based, core clinical ABA services that are overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) and Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who is registered to the OAP Approved Provider’s List. This service is an eligible expense through the Ontario Autism Program and families may use their OAP funding or private funds to purchase these services. Services and supports are individualized to meet individual and family needs and are offered in a variety of settings, and delivered through 1:1 or group-based learning.

Foundational Family Services (Ages 0-18): Free

Foundational Family Services supports capacity building for families to support their child’s learning and development. This service is offered free of charge to families who have a child who is registered to the Ontario Autism Program, with an OAP registration number. Services are offered through a consultative approach and are based on a family’s changing needs over time. Services are offered in a variety of ways, including both telehealth and virtual options. Family Resource and Clinic Days

Meet with a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) or a Behaviour Clinician for an hour to discuss current challenges you are facing as it relates to challenging behaviour you are experiencing or a skill/behaviour you would like to increase or develop. The CLNH team member will discuss concepts and strategies that you can try at home to address your current concern.

  • Schedule: Based on clinician/family availability (mutually agreed upon time)

Brief Targeted Consultation

Work with CLNH’s clinical team to target a skill you are looking to increase or decrease across 3, 1 hours sessions + 1-month follow-up sessions. The Behaviour Clinician will gather information on your goal for consultation during your initial appointment. Your clinician will share strategies and problem solve with you and follow up on the outcome during your consultation sessions.

  • Schedule: Based on clinician/family availability (mutually agreed upon time) 1 approximately 1-hour initial appointment and 3, 1-hour consultation sessions + 1, 1-hour follow-up session 1 month later.
  • Registration: Please use our online form HERE and a Behaviour Clinician will contact you to set your initial appointment.

Caregiver Workshops and Coaching Sessions

Behaviour Clinicians will present on a variety of topics to increase parent and caregivers’ knowledge in Applied Behaviour Analysis and related topics. Learn new concepts or refresh yourself on what you have learned in the past while having the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Behaviour Clinicians. Want to discuss more? After the workshop, sign up for an individualized coaching session with a Behaviour Clinician on the workshop topic.

Family and Peer Mentoring

Do you have a child with ASD and are looking for help in supporting your other children? Meet with a Behaviour Clinician to review a Parent’s Guide to Supporting Siblings of individuals with ASD. Take the opportunity to share your individualized goals or concerns regarding the ASD diagnosis or sibling support and the Behaviour Clinician will provide support using resources that address your needs.

Transition Supports

Behaviour Clinicians will support families of children and youths experiencing school based transitions, transitioning to adulthood, etc. based on the individual need of the parent/caregiver. Click the link below to fill out our questionnaire and register to meet with a Behaviour Clinician.
