On February 6th, 2019, the Ministry of Children Community and Social Services announced changes to the Ontario Autism Program which as a result, will turn regional providers into Fee For Service Agencies as of April 1st, 2019.
Community Living North Halton has been supporting individuals since 1955 and became a community partner in the Central West Region in 2011 during the inception of the ABA program.
Community Living North Halton remains committed to providing high quality Evidence Based Behavioural Services (EBBS) to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder on a Fee For Service basis. Following the ministry’s announcements, we are currently preparing our services and supports.
Supports will include but are not limited to:
– Behavioural assessment
– 1:1 and group behavioural intervention sessions
– Parent/Caregiver training
Other services to be provided include:
– Parent/Caregiver supports and training
– Behaviour Consultation
– Social groups
– Consultations with school personnel and other professionals
Services will be provided by a clinical team which includes a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (Clinical Supervisor), Behaviour Therapists and Behaviour Therapist Assistants.
We are taking care in planning to provide services that families are in need of but also want to hear from you to know what services you are looking for in the new Ontario Autism Program.
