Mary McDuffe Memorial Bonspiel – Virtual Auction
This year, we had decided to rename and dedicate our annual event in honour of Mary McDuffe, one of our former Board Members. Due to pandemic restrictions, we have had to cancel the in-person event, but our committee decided to continue fundraising efforts by hosting a Virtual Silent Auction. Please feel encouraged to share the auction link, follow us on Instagram & Facebook.
Community Living North Halton hosted a peer-to-peer Giving Tuesday fundraiser from November 30th to December 13th! Through the generosity of our community, affiliates and staff, we were able to raise $5395! This is the most we have ever raised on Giving Tuesday! All funds raised will be allocated to sustaining and improving our Children’s Programs and alleviating costs to families.
Special thanks to Rebecca Lake for support us through her businesses: Sensa, Endless Abilities & social media channel,
What is Giving Tuesday?
Giving Tuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies, and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for Giving Tuesday.

Pave The Way
This year, Community Living North Halton took part in National AccessAbility Week (NAAW). In celebration, we hosted our very first Pave The Way fundraiser. Our goal, through peer-to-peer fundraiser, was to raise $2500 to refinish a residential driveway that has seen better days. With the support of our community, staff, and supported individuals, we exceeded our goal! With the extra money earned, we were able to pave 3 driveways!
